Following in Bill's footsteps, his son Clyde, also went into the insurance business. The brokerage is also active in assisting with the annual M.I.B.A. Charity Golf Tournament with proceeds going to the Mississauga Special Olympics. W. Clyde Robertson Insurance Ltd. is a member of the I.B.A.O. (Independent Brokers Association of Ontario) and an active member in the local broker association, Mississauga Insurance Brokers Association (M.I.B.A.)We have also been involved in coaching and sponsoring boys hockey and sponsoring girls hockey teams. Paul was the first to join the brokerage in 1983, followed by Joanne in 1996, with Patrick following along in 1997. In 1958, Clyde decided it was time to establish his own insurance brokerage in the Village of MaIton.Many years later Clyde was joined by two of his sons and his only daughter. Clyde started his insurance career in 1952 working in an insurance company in Toronto. The Company is also assisting the ALS Society in their annual golf tournament and the Walk for ALS in Oakville/Halton.
